Dates 11/9/15-12/18/15.
Movie shoots upstate and in NYC but accountant can work remotely in NYC for the duration of prep and the shoot.

Staff Production Accountant needed at Legendary Television (Burbank)

Staff Production Accountant (Burbank, CA)

Legendary Television is looking for an In House Production Accountant to assist Finance Executives with setup of shows and daily show related tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Setup and maintain Vista systems for all shows in production
• Setup and monitor Optimis scanning system
• Prepare preliminary cash flows for green-lit productions
• Process casting and prep payroll as needed
• Monitor and disperse incoming hot costs, cost reports and other show reporting
• Prepare Bank Reconciliations for shows in development
• Analysis and Special Projects as requested
• Assist others in Finance/Production departments as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Related Field
• Minimum of 5 years single camera TV Production Accounting
• Strong knowledge of V5 and Global Vista
• Must be self-motivated and a team player
• Thorough knowledge of Excel
• Must have very strong computer skills and be able to troubleshoot and assist others with system issues
• Must be extremely organized
• Comfortable working under high pressure and tight deadlines

Director, Budgeting & Estimating needed (Burbank)

DIRECTOR, BUDGETING & ESTIMATION (Burbank, CA)

This position will report to the VP, Production Finance and will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of production budgets and templates for Studio’s pilots, series and presentations.

Responsibilities:
• Create, revise and update preliminary production budgets for all television projects
• Create and maintain generic budget templates reflecting recent production activity in various cities
• Identify recent production activity trends including staffing and industry practice
• Analyze recent cost trends using historical production data
• Stay informed of all union/guild contracts including rates, rules and regulations
• Research and estimate available tax incentives where applicable
• Engage with Production, Post Production, Labor Relations and Business Affairs regarding recent activity, practices and preferences applicable to generic budget templates.
• Ad hoc reports and projects as required by VP, Production Finance

Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years Production Accounting/Finance experience
• Thorough knowledge of state and international tax incentives
• Expert in the use of Movie Magic Budgeting, Excel and Vista 5
• Superb writing and presentation skills
• Must have experience with single camera productions
• Extremely organized, able to meet deadlines and able to work on multiple projects at once

Production Accountant needed for digital project (Culver City)

PRODUCTION ACCOUNTANT

Looking for a Production Accountant to manage a digital project for a small new media company (Culver City) that includes many small videos produced over approximately six months.

Duties and requirements include:
* Oversee daily production accounting needs, including A/P, non-union crew payroll and potentially SAG/DGA new media, from pre-production through post for each video.
* Work closely with Line Producer and Finance Executive for budgeting and cost-tracking needs.
* Ability to work with budgets, advise during budgeting stages and load into system once finalized.
* Prepare weekly cost reporting and cash flow forecasting, track all production actuals against budget, provide variance analysis, and track breakage.
* Database maintenance including miscellaneous journals and account re-classes.
* Review and track with outside counsel all contracts.
* Vet any production insurance concerns.
* Assist with Company’s monthly Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations.
* Assist in tracking asset purchases and allocations.

Qualifications:
* Ability to multi-task across different projects and project manage is essential.
* Proficient in MediaWeb, Movie Magic Budgeting, and Excel.
* Enthusiasm to work in digital media is preferred.

Position starts November.
