Manager, Production Audit for FOX

•Responsible for auditing live action feature films to ensure compliance with Studio processes. This includes such responsibilities as: ◦Perform audits on location to ensure compliance with such areas as: Production Accounting and Production manuals, tax incentive tracking, cost reporting, Studio Compliance requirements, etc.
◦Perform cost audits for negative acquisitions and/or co-financed films ◦Update and maintain audit procedures ◦Update and maintain Studio Production Accounting manual ◦Implement new controls and procedures ◦Resolution of audit issues/findings

•Oversee/perform other audit functions such as bank reconciliation audits, SOX, liaising with Corporate Compliance/Audit, etc. ◦Responsible for working and liaising with production accountants, Physical Production, Estimating, Post Accounting, Legal, Tax.

•Perform various special projects and ad hoc analyses as needed for senior management. Additional responsibilities as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

•Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Finance/Accounting preferred •Candidate must be willing to travel domestically and internationally •Position requires accounting/finance experience in entertainment/production operations/production accounting (working knowledge of cost reporting/estimating, location accounting system closing reports, on-the-ground production processes, etc.) •Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong knowledge of Excel/Word •Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills •Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, follow-through and draw conclusions •Must be able to work efficiently in a fast paced environment, strong analytical skills, meet deadlines, and be pro-active in resolving issues •Candidate must be organized, detail-oriented, efficient, and can multitask •PSL experience a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for working with the department Vice President in implementing department procedures and workflows
• Responsible for the fiscal management and administration of both internal and external facets of development and production for original, licensed, and acquired network programming.
• Coordinate and manage pre-production finance and accounting inclusive of budget review, corporation set up, greenlight approvals, pre-buy of foreign currency, payroll/accounting systems set up, and production cash flow.
• Review and analyze all weekly production finance deliverables including: ledger bibles, cost reports, balance sheets, check registers, and purchase orders, to ensure accuracy and strict policy adherence.
• Closely monitor the production progress to ensure swift financial issue resolution.
• Provide financial support to Production Executives.
• Ensure adherence to all production accounting policies and procedures.
• Responsible for selecting and engaging freelance production accountants.
• Manage tax incentive process, including but not limited to applications, audits, qualified expense tracking, etc.
• Ensure production advances and studio paid costs are properly recorded in the production general ledger.
• Manage and review post production accounting functions with contracted firms.
• Provide guidance with accounting database systems and administration.
• Plan and perform ad hoc projects as needed

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in television or feature film production accounting is required.
• In depth understanding of motion picture industry accounting and financial practice.
• Knowledge and experience with union/guild agreements.
• Passionate about television programming with a keen interest in and aptitude for learning the business.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrate strong analytical skills, and work well under pressure.
• Terrific outgoing interpersonal skills with the ability to conduct internal and external meetings
• Pragmatic, highly organized and high attention to detail.

Chicago-based talk show seeks Accounting/Legal Clerk to handle the administrative duties of each department.

Responsibilities include filing, data entry, maintaining show files and legal documents, ordering office supplies, distributing paychecks, and assisting with all elements of the accounts payable process.

PAYROLL ACCT NEEDED FOR ESTABLISHED 1 HR DRAMA IN HOLLYWOOD

Experienced payroll accountant needed for returning 1 hr show in Hollywood.

Showbiz timecards experience preferred, but not necessary.

Season starts mid-June, runs through early April (and possibly through mid-May). Lunch provided, good working hours. Great crew, not much turnover from previous seasons.
