Accounting/Finance Manager needed full-time at Brooklyn based Production Company
Responsibilities:
· Manage corporate finances and accounting, using QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel, including: projecting cash flow, analyzing P&Ls, monthly closes, managing corporate Overhead and Production costs
· Act as lead Production Accountant across multiple shows, full series and development pitches, including: all show setup and wrap through Pre-Production, Production, and Post-Production
· All A/P, A/R, credit card, petty cash, and bank reconciliations on both the Production and Corporate sides
· Handle payroll for productions, freelancers, and staff, including benefits and vacation tracking
· Communicate with Executive Producers and other executive management in order to fully understand and be aware of all costs and financial implications across all productions and corporate overhead
· Ability to multi-task and juggle many projects at once, be able to prioritize many different responsibilities and meet deadlines
Requirements:
· 3-5 years of Television Production Accounting experience required
· QuickBooks experience required
· Strong MacOS skills required
· Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
· Media Services, MediaWeb Accounting and Showbiz Crew Cards experience a plus

Accounting Manager needed at Digital Domain (L.A.)

Digital Domain, the Academy Award-winning feature film and commercial visual effects studio located in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for its Finance Department, who will coordinate and manage key financial processes, including month end close, treasury needs and cash flow forecasting, financial planning, reporting and budgeting. This position will report directly to SVP, Corporate Controller.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the day-to-day general ledger accounting and reporting
• Ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP and internal controls
• Responsible for the preparation, coordination, review and analysis of the management reporting package for month-end
• Work with cross-functional teams to manage accurate accounting and reporting
• Review and finalize Trial Balance, P&L, Balance Sheet
• Review and finalize variance analysis
• Prepare and review Inter-Company allocations
• Prepare and review account reconciliations, account analysis, accrual calculations, and other related accounting documents/schedules
• Coordinate and review monthly, quarterly and annual statutory reporting
Education and/or Experience Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA preferred
• 7+ years Accounting/Finance experience
• Experience working with multi business units within a global corporation preferred
• Experience with Oracle Fusion a plus
• Previous management experience with excellent leadership skills and hands-on management style

• Enhance monthly/weekly reporting for executive and finance leadership including budget variance analysis, business plan variance analysis, and cash flow variance analysis
• Develop and maintain robust understanding of business drivers and metrics and help setting and tracking the KPIs for the company
• Summarize key revenue/expense line items, drivers and scalability
• Support various ad hoc financial analytics
• Identify opportunities for process improvement
• Partner closely with business units to develop insightful analysis that drives decision-making and business strategy
• Lead financial support for various internal groups and business affiliates
Education and/or Experience Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CMA,CPA, CFA or MBA preferred
