LA Television Studio Seeks Production Clerk. Duties include:
•Process invoices, journal entries, petty cash and checks for deposit
•File and organize accounting records for storage and request record destructions based on corporate record retention guidelines
•Process AMEX requests
•Add vendors to the Common Vendor System
•Daily mail runs on the Studio Lot
•Perform bank reconciliations
•Process Upload and Downloads; obtain back-up for download charges
•Cross-train to process Development payroll
•Maintain order in copy rooms
•Other projects as requested
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (preferred)
•Proficiency in MS Office Tools: Word, Excel
•Prior Vista/PSL experience preferred
•Sense of urgency and ability to multi-task
•Team player
•Ability to lift 25lbs

Payroll Clerk needed for Pilot (L.A.)

Payroll Clerk needed for large 1hr pilot – estimated 7 weeks starting ASAP. Major network with Non Affiliate benefits. Payroll clerk will assist Payroll Accountant as needed.
Some payroll experience and familiarity with Showbiz crew cards is a plus, but not a requirement. Ideal candidate would have some payroll clerking experience and be willing to adapt and to learn. Great opportunity for a clerk looking to learn and to move up to payroll accountant.
As the payroll accountant, I will handle the bulk of the show. I will hand off whatever work I can to make the payroll process as smooth as possible. The actual work flow will be based on the work as it comes in.
Potential Duties would be:
Alpha Sorting
Light Data Entry
Filing
Comparing time cards to the production reports
Bursting starts
Folding and stuffing payroll checks
These are just some examples; again actual duties will depend on the work flow of the show. I am willing to train if you are willing to learn.

• Production accounting start-up of each job.
• Accounting point-person during active production.
• Interact with Freelance Production Personnel
• Final wrap-out and actualization of each job.
• Work with ad agency Business Affairs and agency Executive Producers with regard to contractual matters as well as accounts receivable collections matters.
• Administer insurance related issues.
• Handle guild related matters.
• Administer staff payroll.
• Administer job payroll: audit and final approvals.
• Handle insurance and guild audits
• Weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reporting.
• Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations.
• Account for depreciable assets and inventory.
• Maintain schedules and payments for business licenses, Statements of Information and other related business filings.
• Prepare adjunct financial statement by job, state, or location.
Required Education, Experience, and General skils
Extensive experience with Quickbooks and Production Accounting, Production office experience in film, tv, and/or commercials, College degree, Solid communication skills, Positive Attitude, and Kind Demeanor
Required Software Skills
Extensive knowledge of Quickbooks, Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat
Compensation
Looking for someone to work 4-5 days a week (32-40 hours), $35/hr. Benefits and incentive bonuses, after 6 months.

Temporary in-house production accountant needed for independent production company
This is a one-month in-house role based in our Beverly Hills office, with the potential to move into a series’ accounting dept once the role expires. Would suit a payroll accountant looking to make the first step to lead accountant.
Production accounting duties:
Prep/wrap accountant on all shows covering:
• Budget reviews, ensuring all payroll and fringes rates are accurate
• Setting up PSL
• Setting up and processing payroll during the prep period
• Process accounts payable as needed
• Handing over to production accountant when they start/finish
• Processing payroll during wrap period
• Finalising cost report
• Reconciling any outstanding items on trial balance (petty cash, p-cards etc)
• Bank reconciliations
Lead accountant on pilots, specials and webseries
