Emmy Award winning Production Company is seeking an extraordinary Production Accountant to support Producers in maintaining project budgets.
Responsibilities:
• Creation of weekly Cost Reports for Producers and Department Heads
• Work closely with production executives and producers during the production budgeting phase, prior to green light
• Process and file purchase orders

• Review cash flow schedules prior to studio approval.

Skills:

Leading entertainment production company seeks Controller to handle all aspects of corporate finance and general oversight of production finance, including:

Desired Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience and 10+ years of progressive experience for a major company or division of a large corporation within the entertainment industry. CPA or CMA candidates preferred. Experience with creating financial statements. Ideal candidate must be adept at working quickly, within deadlines, in a fast-paced environment with a small department and able to work as a one-person department in many instances. Keen analytic, organizational, and problem solving skills a must. An ability to translate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels, including non-finance managers.

Feature Production Finance needed (West L.A.)

Feature Production Finance (based in West LA)
The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a key or 1st assistant. Prior studio production finance/accounting experience is a plus. This position will help oversee all financial aspects of feature production, including cash-flow, EFC reporting, tax incentive tracking and co-financing arrangements.
Responsibilities:
• Manage production cash-flows and funding; ensure flow of funds comply with legal/tax structure
• Review cost reports and weekly closing reports for accuracy
• Prepare monthly cash-flow, EFC reports and co-financing cost statements
• Provide guidance to production accountants on studio policies & procedures
• Travel to production locations, assess competency of accounting staffs and perform audits
