Feature/TV Payroll Coordinator needed @ Ease (Beverly Hills)

Seeking an experienced Feature/TV entertainment payroll coordinator in the Beverly Hills office.
Key Functions:
– Process entertainment payroll which includes calculating timecards and inputting them into the payroll system.
– Calculate union feature or television payroll according to the collective bargaining agreements.
– Calculate non-union payroll according to state and federal law.
– Work closely with clients via email and phone to serve as their point of contact for all payroll related concerns in an accommodating and professional manner.
– Respond to the needs of the client in a professional and timely manner.
– Use a labor guide and union agreements for reference.
– Process payroll in compliance with Ease policy and procedures.
– Audit payroll as required.
– Maintain accurate files for each project.
Requirements:
– Have 2+ years of entertainment payroll experience.
– Extensive knowledge of union entertainment payroll.
– Excellent oral and written skills.
– Have a flexible schedule to accommodate client needs. Overtime may be required.
– Professional and client service oriented.
– Highly organized.
– Know or be willing to learn payroll fringe calculations.
– Understand how to reference a labor guide and interpret agreements.
– Work well in a group setting.

*MUST HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF SAG PAYROLL

Coordinator – Production Finance | Netflix Inc. | Beverly Hills, CA

The Production Finance Coordinator position will reside within the company’s originals team in the Beverly Hills office and will support the Director of Production Finance, the Production Finance Executives, and freelance accounting teams on our features, series, documentaries, stand-up comedies, and specials.

Responsibilities:
– Processing pre-production payments to vendors and post production accounting
– Cost report analysis and budget comparisons
– Production P-Card reconciliation
– Maintain and distribute policy and procedure manual and accounting forms
– Track locked budgets for sign off
– Distribute the Schedule of Authority
– Order check stock and purchase orders
– Prepare the weekly cost status report
– Insurance declarations
– Production Accounting and Payroll set-up requests
– Tax credit submissions and tracking
– Bank Account set up
– Assist in quarterly cash forecast
– Receive and submit for approval production accounting staff requests

Qualifications:
Candidates are required to be highly analytical and be strong and effective communicators. He/she must thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, focus on generating results and exhibit the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics. Candidate must be self-motivated, disciplined, highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks.

– 2-3 years of experience at a major studio, top tier independent production company as a financial analyst/staff accountant supporting financial or production executives or as a freelance assistant production accountant
– High aptitude and enthusiasm for complex problem solving and analysis utilizing financial applications, including great Excel skills
– Very strong written communication skills and experience in facilitating and presenting analyses
– Bachelors in accounting or finance with strong academic performance
