Accounting Clerk needed – Los Angeles
Looking for an experienced clerk to work on a 1 hour drama. Job duties include processing extras, opening mail, matching A/P to PO’s, lots of filing and other accounting duties as assigned. This position will help both A/P and payroll. Must be detail-oriented, responsible, punctual. Vista experience a plus. Job Duties
Duties will include assisting the Production Finance team as follows:
• Maintenance and ongoing filing of production finance documents generated on a weekly basis.
• Organization and upkeep of supply and storage room.
• Coordination of incoming and outgoing mail.
• Packing, logging, and tracking of all Production Finance files.
• Facilitate the storage, delivery and retrieval of all Production Finance files as needed/requested by Production Finance team.
• Liaison between MTV Viacom Core Facility Services and Production Finance Team in all capacities.
• Coordinate and schedule meetings as requested.
• Ongoing updates to Production Finance contact sheets.
• Scanning documents for residuals requirements.
• Assist Post Production Finance with research and back-up to reconcile various production accounts.
• Liaison between Production Finance, other departments within the organization and outside vendors as requested.
• Ad hoc projects requested by finance team.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task. Must be proactive and a self-starter.
• Excellent communication skills with a team-player attitude.
• Willingness to learn and take on additional accounting duties as time permits.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
• Some general production accounting knowledge preferred.


Payroll Accountant, 2nd Assistant & Clerk needed for Series (New Orleans Locals)

Experienced local payroll accountant, 2nd assistant and clerk needed in New Orleans for an episodic project.
Relevant experience with PSL and Excel required.
Job starts late February/early March through early May.
-Payroll: Should be familiar with Showbiz Crew & SAG time cards, experienced with relevant majors IA & Guild contracts and Louisiana union payroll processing. Must be willing and able to oversee extras payroll processing, fully process payroll solo from disseminating and auditing start paperwork to diligently auditing edits and recoding/posting payroll within the week. Some foreign payroll experience preferred. 161 membership required.
–2nd Assistant: Responsible for assisting with the auditing, entering and processing of all show’s PC, P-Cards, A/P, Check Requests, PO’s, Wires, Asset Lists & Cutting of Checks, in addition to maintain all File Folders/Logs. 161 membership required.
–Clerk: candidate should have experience with data entry, filing, scanning, sorting & folding checks, answering phones, liaising with crew, as well as taking and implementing instructions efficiently.
