Job Qualifications:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of television and film production and distribution.
• 3 years or more of relevant production accounting experience.
• Experience in television and film production payroll.
• Understanding of payroll taxes including pension, health and welfare contributions.
• Working knowledge of guild agreements including residuals.
• Accounting degree preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Access.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and adapt to fast-paced environment.

Studio Staff Assistant needed:
Studio on the west side is seeking a non-union staff accounting assistant to assist a staff accountant on wrapping multiple series. Duties include, but not limited to:
• Global Vista knowledge
• Entering purchase orders
• Entering accounts payable and cutting checks
• Researching open invoices/statements
• Bank reconciliations
• 1099 review

FOX is hiring an Experienced Professional to enhance our Film and Television Production Incentives team. We seek a motivated, conscientious and contribution-oriented professional, who exhibits strong written and oral communication skills, a high aptitude for critical thinking and analysis, and excellent tax and legal research skills. You will be a part of a dynamic and creative team working directly with our production business units in the research, planning, administration and recoupment aspects of the incentive process. This role offers room for professional growth and development, both within the tax department and FOX.

The Production Incentives team is a tax-based, internal service provider to FOX’s film and television production units. Our primary objective is to maximize and monetize all domestic and international production incentives. Additionally, we provide tax guidance and compliance support for productions with income taxes, payroll taxes, and indirect taxes matters. In this exciting and unique group, you have an opportunity to truly understand the film and television production business, while continuing to develop as a tax professional.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• CPA or JD/LLM, a plus
• 5+ years of tax experience at a professional services firm or comparable production/post production experience with estimating film incentives in worldwide jurisdictions.
• Big 4, public accounting or law firm experience preferred
• Studio, entertainment industry, or other film and television production experience a plus.
• Ability to work effectively on individual projects and as part of a team;
• Proficiency with MS Office, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Visio
• Experience with Movie Magic Budgeting, PSL, and Vista products a plus.

What part will you play?
Audit cost reports and other documents from production companies against approved production budgets, process payments according to production services agreements, and assist with production budgeting and planning.
Interpret development contracts, process payments according to contractual obligations, and assist with development budgeting, tracking and reporting.
Oversee accounting for development, production, and other projects, including: start paperwork, petty cash requests, time cards, and other forms, ensuring all requirements including employment laws are met.
Run and review reports (e.g., PSL reports, production bibles, and GL detail), and prepare items including journal entries and accruals.
Handle check and wire requests, invoice processing and coding, purchase orders, and vendor creation/maintenance, including allocation to correct show or corporate account.
Manage PCard process and reconciliation, ensuring all approvals and receipts are obtained and transactions correctly coded to overhead or to shows.
Ensure corporate finance and accounting requirements are met and adhere to required reporting processes.
What do we require from you?
College degree in related field and/or comparable work experience
2 years of experience in television/film production accounting
Ability to interpret contracts/deal memos in order to assess validity of costs
Knowledge of SAG/AFTRA/IATSE/DGA time tables & rates and Cast & Crew payroll
Familiarity with systems including SAP, PSL,Vista, Movie Magic Budgeting & Entertainment Partners Budgeting
