AR Manager needed at Fremantle (Burbank)

Accounts Receivable Manager –
The Accounts Receivable Manager has primary responsibility for the Invoicing, Collection and Receivables management for Fremantle’s North American business – FMNA, Original Productions (OP) and 495 Productions (495) entities. The position also performs other financial analysis and support as required. The position reports to the Manager of Financial Reporting who is responsible for the overall financial reporting for FMNA and group reporting for other FMNA entities.
– Prepare Invoices for FMNA, OP, and 495 entities
– Prepare Monthly/Quarterly A/R Reports for review by Senior Management
– Proactively work with customers to resolve billing issues and ensure proper cash collection and minimize DSO
– Reconcile Accounts Receivable to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
– Work with Production Accountant to clean show receivables
– Liaise with entities within the RTL and FremantleMedia Groups to ensure reconciliation of all inter-company balances on a monthly and quarterly basis
– Perform other duties as assigned by VP of Finance and Controller
-Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration degree preferred
– Minimum of 3-year relevant experience in accounts receivable
– Analytical and process-oriented skill set, with demonstrated problem solving experience
– Confident and enthusiastic team player
– Strong working experience and knowledge of EPR systems, preferably SAP and Business Warehouse; experience with production accounting software is a plus
– Television production experience preferred

Staff Accountant needed at Entertainment Media Specialists (Encino)

Entertainment Media Specialists is currently seeking a seasoned Staff Accountant for an excellent opportunity in our Encino, CA corporate office. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Accounting with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar finance and accounting role.
Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant
– Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files
– Reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts
– Provide accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll services for the company
– Prepare payments/accruals and reconcile accounts
– Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and analyzing data
– Work with spreadsheets to provide information to management (Controller, CFO, CEO)
– Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential
– Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed
– College degree in accounting
– 2+ years in a recent finance and accounting role
– Works well both independently and in a group
– Exceptional communication and reporting skills
– Must be able to work with strict deadlines
– Excellent time management and organizational skills
– Detail oriented
– Proficient computer skills, including QuickBooks, Excel, Word, Outlook
– Expert knowledge of full cycle A/P and A/R, general ledger, journal entries
– Experience in working with preparation of financial statements
– Experience with treasury management and online banking
– Experience in payroll processing and related taxes
– Ability to pass a background check and obtain a suitability determination

What you will do
